This Texas hill country style residence is located on a small lake outside of College Station, Texas. The house is stretched along the site to give the majority of the spaces a view of the lake. The porches serve as an extension of the adjacent rooms, and are open to each other but allow a separate grouping of functions. The site slopes toward the rear, setting the back of the house up a few feet above grade strengthening the view. The house is nestled in the trees blocking low sun angles and the expansive glass facing the lake is protected by deep porches. The home is insulated with spray foam and the metal roof acts as a radiant barrier.
